Reaching verified status is not the end of the journey on Serpent. It’s the beginning of a project life as a key asset with maximum exposure. In the 2026 market, we’re aiming for Serpent to become to gold standard. However we believe trust is earned daily. Unlike other platforms where a badge is permanent Serpent’s verification is a living status. It is designed to attain and maintain, ensuring that our top tier tab only ever features projects that are actively building, communicating and growing.

As we just mentioned, verification is a privilege that must be defended. To remain in the Verified tab, a project must continue to satisfy proof of maintenance criteria. The involves a combination of developer activity and continued curator support.

If a projects development stalls, if the team goes silent or if the curators stop refreshing their vouches using $SPT, the project risks being moved back to the in progress tab or being removed from the site completely.

This ensures users going to our platform are never met with a graveyard of dead projects but a sharp curated list of the current leaders in the space.
